The John Chambers College of Business and Economics at West Virginia University (WVU), an R1 research institution and AACSB-accredited college, invites applications for an Associate Professor position in Business Ethics. This full-time, tenure-track position is set to begin in August 2026.
Position Description
The successful candidate will:
- Deliver high quality instruction of business ethics at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Conduct research with an emphasis on business ethics. Applicants for this position are expected to have an established, proven record of publishing their research in the highest-quality outlets in business ethics and a plan to continue publishing in such outlets.
- Actively contribute to departmental, college, and university initiatives in alignment with the college's mission. Candidates must have a demonstrated record of success in a department head, director, or equivalent leadership role.
- Play an active role in the Kendrick Center for an Ethical Economy.
This position emphasizes teaching (50%), service (30%) and research (20%).
Qualifications
A doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Philosophy.
Experience teaching business ethics courses.
Demonstrated expertise and continued potential for scholarly productivity and classroom excellence.
Demonstrated experience in academic leadership roles.
