Job Summary
This position will assist the Head Coach in all phases of the Women's Soccer program, including coaching current team members, recruiting quality student athletes on a national and international level, and administrative duties as assigned.
Core Responsibilities
- Assist with on-field coaching, game preparations, and scouting of opponents.
- Monitor student athlete academic progress.
- Assist head coach in recruiting prospects as assigned by head soccer coach.
- Make in-person evaluation.
- Host on-campus recruiting visits as assigned.
- Lead Coach after Head Coach.
- Make presentations to local and national groups promoting UTSA and UTSA Soccer.
- Represent UTSA at American Conference and national meetings.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in any field of study.
- At least seven years soccer experience as a college, high level club, professional or international player or coach.
- This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree from an accredited university in any field of study.
- 15 years soccer experience as a college, professional or international player or coach.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of personal computers, Microsoft Office, standard office equipment and Video Analysis.
- Knowledge of NCAA, American Conference, and UTSA rules and regulations.
- Good assessment and communication skills to recruit and represent UTSA.
- Ability to travel extensively using personal or rental vehicles to perform essential functions of job. Travel will be regionally, nationally, and globally.
Working Conditions
- Physical activity in the sport of soccer.
- Weekend and evening hours and required travel.
Physical Demands
- Light - Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
This position will work primarily on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
This position is contingent upon a successful background check. Verification of a valid driver's license and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) may be completed as applicable. Applicants selected must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States by time of hire.
