Athletics Compliance & Special
Events Manager
Augustana University (SD) is seeking qualified applicants for an Athletic Compliance & Special Events
Manager. This is a 12-month, full-time, entry level position with room for growth in the department. Reporting to the Senior Associate AD
for Compliance, this position will assist with the management of Augustana Athletic Compliance operations for all 22 sports programs.
Additionally, this position will lead the department’s special events efforts including the Athletics Auction, Hall of Fame, A-Club
Tailgating and other special events as assigned.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
Athletic Compliance (60%)
- Assist with
the development and implementation of rules education for coaches,
student-athletes, parents, university staff, and boosters to ensure compliance with NCAA, NSIC, and CCHA rules and regulations. - Oversight of specific athletic teams for athletic compliance.
- Ability to interpret bylaws and policies to coaches, faculty, and
staff members - Review and approve official/unofficial visits and CARA.
- Assist with maintaining all compliance maintenance
platforms to include, but not limited to NCAA Apps, Teamworks, Slate, J1, EAB Navigate, etc. - Track initial eligibility and
admissions status for all new student-athletes. - Help maintain/update the Athletic Compliance Education Google Chat Forum(s).
- Assist with National Signing Days.
- Assist with SAAC Oversight.
Special Events Manager (40%)
- Lead
and plan high profile athletic special events, alongside the Vice President of Athletics to include the Annual Athletics Auction, A-Club
Tailgating, Hall of Fame Banquet, Sammie Golf Tournament, etc. - Assist with home gameday operations for all Augustana
athletic teams. - Oversee general office day-to-day functions to include supply ordering, equipment maintenance, monitoring the main
athletic phone line, etc. - Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- A
bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree or
equivalent experience. - Master’s Degree preferred.
- One (1) year experience in an athletic compliance setting at an
institutional, conference, or national association level/relevant work experience and will consider graduate assistants.
