Description

A student worker in the Athletics office should possess interpersonal skills as they will be working directly with coaches, student athletes, potential recruits and parents in gathering and organizing eligibility paperwork, assisting with game day preparations, providing campus tours, and assisting the departments of Athletics as needed.
Examples of Duties
- Help with game day setup and support for all sports.
- Work with the athletic director to ensure that supplies, uniforms, and materials are inventoried, stored, and organized.
- Provide campus tours to prospective student-athletes.
- Assist with special events and other activities relevant to Mid Athletics.
- Work at off-campus locations to ensure that fields and courts are maintained and ready for practices and games.
- Keep stats, record games, and provide other essential support at home games when necessary.
- Under the supervision of the Athletic Director, organize, file, and track paperwork for compliance submissions.
- Provide general assistance, support, and administrative support to the Athletic Director.
- Support and serve as a role model for our mission, vision, strategic and service initiatives. Adheres to the organization's policies & procedures, and compliance guidelines.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Typical Qualifications
Education, Certification, Licensure:
- High school diploma and current Mid student required.
Experience:
- Prior experience in Athletics or interest in Athletic Management preferred.
Supplemental Information
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively, in verbal and written format, with various constituencies including students, faculty, administrators, and community members.
