Key Responsibilities:
Technical and Operational Support
- Setup and staff events, classes, and meetings.
- Respond to technical support in our classrooms and event spaces
- Train and assist our users on our standard AV technology
Customer Support
- Ensure that every event runs smoothly
- Work with our customers from pre-event meetings through day of event support
- Build and develop relationships with customers and IT partners across campus
Work Location: Onsite - This role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Music Technology, Music Business, Technical Theatre, Audio/Video or a related field from an accredited institution or equivalent number of years of directly related experience in the field of AV engineering, support, design, integration, and consulting.
+ Substitution: 4 years of professional or high-level technical work experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree. An associate's degree with two years of relevant work experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree - 1-2 years of experience setting up, supporting and/or installing/integrating audio visual systems in both large and small venues
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience setting up, supporting and/or installing/integrating audio visual systems in both large and small venues
- Experience working in higher education
- Two or more years of progressive experience in classroom technology management or support
- Current InfoComm Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) or CTS-I, or additional industry related certification
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must be self-motivated, self-managed, and able to adjust priorities while maintaining productivity and responding to support requests
- Proven work experience and knowledge in supporting projection and display, sound and speech reinforcement, audio and video conferencing, analog and digital signal processing, distribution, and control systems for audio visual and other classroom equipment technologies. Hands on experience with projectors, control panels, full AV systems and ability to analyze problems in a natural progression
- General knowledge of information technology services, hardware, infrastructure, and system design
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
- Solid relevant technical background with an ability to give instructions to a non-technical audience
- Customer-service oriented with a can-do, problem-solving attitude
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, comfortable with face-to-face customer service
- Comfortable working independently with both minimal and specific direction as well as working as part of a team
- Curiosity, motivation, and a desire for continuous learning
- A belief that strong relationships are key to success
- A self-starter with a can-do attitude
- An effective servant leader and manager of people who begins interactions by listening
- A collaborator with a focus on providing solutions based on the requirements and necessary outcomes of those whom we serve
