Title: Baker's Assistant

Position Purpose:

The Baker's Assistant position primarily works in student dining providing approximately 5000 meals per day to the students, faculty, staff, and guests of the college who dine in Commons. They are also called upon to prepare items for catered events as needed.

Job Duties:

Culinary:

• Prepare bakery products for student meals strictly following standardized recipes.
• Follow sound environmental practices, including composting, recycling, and waste reduction initiatives.
• Ensure that the highest sanitation standards are consistently maintained across the operation. This involves maintaining detailed and accurate production records to ensure proper oversight and compliance.
• Actively participate in all scheduled meetings (Dining, Conferences, Campus Events town meetings, sector, and specially called meetings).
• Assist in other areas of the operation as needed and perform all other assigned duties to support the overall success of the department.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education

• High School Diploma required.
• Serve Safe certification preferred.

Experience

Minimum one year of experience in a food service setting.
