Assistant/Associate Professor of Biology - Full-time or Adjunct (Fall 2024)
The Assistant/Associate Professor of Biology will have teaching responsibilities of courses that include Cell Biology and Microbiology, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Developmental Biology, and Molecular Genetics. Lecture section may be taught in person or online but labs must be taught in person.

Essential Functions
- Facilitate student learning
- Supports the mission, vision, and values of Bethel College
- Mentor undergraduate research
- Participate in the recruitment process of students that meet departmental standards
- Foster the development of excellence in teaching within the department
- The ability to utilize effective teaching methods and strategies
- Promote collegiality and collaborative relationships with other Bethel College faculty and staff
- Satisfy the duties of an Official with Authority (OWA) and Mandated Reporter relating to Title IX and the Bethel College Equal Opportunity, Harassment, & Non Discrimination Policy and Procedures
Education and/or Experience
- Ph.D. preferred; MS required
Required Qualifications
- Technologically savvy
- Ability to successfully learn the college's LMS
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, administrators, faculty, staff, and outside constituencies
- Strong organizational and management skills
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks under tight deadlines and stressful situations
