Bachelor's degree in biology or a related field and three years of experience or Master's degree in biology or a related field with one year of relevant experience.
Job Description:
Animal work, including monitoring and care, surgical support (intracranial and subcutaneous tumor implantation in mice), post-surgical monitoring and care, health evaluation and surveillance, giving injections (intravenous, subcutaneous, intraperitoneal, etc), removing sutures, tissue collection and banking, maintaining procedures and protocols, collecting biological samples (blood, tissues, etc.), and maintaining laboratory records.
Under minimal supervision, perform human clinical trial patient sample blood processing Including PBMC processing and cryopreservation, banking samples, updating SOPS as needed Keeping proper records for all trials, organizing clinical samples, running clinical flow cytometry on patient PBMCs Some confocal microscopy includes analyzing and reporting data. Adjust/modify experimental design as necessary based on experimental data analysis. Assist with report writing and developing presentations.
Participates in laboratory management, including: maintaining lab equipment, keeping inventory updated, maintaining laboratory safety programs, training of personnel in laboratory safety techniques, keep laboratory records, preparing reagents, maintaining clean work areas, and managing chemical and biological waste. Participate in writing and editing SOPs (standard operating procedures) for the laboratory
Expected Salary:
$61,350-$69,700
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in biology or a related field and three years of experience or Master's degree in biology or a related field with one year of relevant experience.
Preferred:
- At least 3 years of previous mouse experience required, ALAC, or LATG certified mouse person.
- Experience in flow cytometry and animal methods.
