OPS Fume Hood Technician

Classification Minimum Requirements:

A High School diploma and a valid Florida Driver's license with safe driving history are required.

Job Description:

• Conduct fume hood monitoring to ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
• Complete associated duties including fume hood inspection and airflow verification, data entry, and maintaining accurate fume hood records.
• Perform various administrative tasks related to the fume hood monitoring program as assigned.
• Provide quality customer service to the UF research community as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE:

M-F 8:00AM-5:00PM

Expected Salary:

$17.00 Hourly

Required Qualifications:

A High School diploma and a valid Florida Driver's license with safe driving history are required.

Preferred:

• Proof of good work ethic.
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing)
• Ability to provide professional customer service
• Ability to operate Windows-based programs
• Experience with data entry and database software
• Knowledge of UF's campus

Special Instructions to Applicants:

Must be dependable and have the ability to perform physical activities involving reaching, lifting, twisting, climbing stairs and/or ladders, extensive walking around campus.

Must be able to work 40 hours a week.
