GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES: The Department of Science is seeking part-time Instructors to teach a wide range of Biology courses offered for the Fall 2025 Semester, including Human Anatomy & Physiology I and II with Labs and Survey of Biology with Lab. This includes preparing and presenting lectures, leading and facilitating classroom discussions, and evaluating and grading student performance while maintaining a focus on pursuing equitable student outcomes.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

  1. Provide instruction in both traditional and non-traditional learning modes.
  2. Select and develop appropriate materials for class use.
  3. Maintain appropriate attendance and learner records.
  4. Track and assess student progress based on quizzes, exams, and assignments.

REQUIREMENTS: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Master's degree in Biology, or related Biology field.
  2. Experience teaching freshman and sophomore level biology courses, preferably in a community college setting.
  3. Commitment to the community college philosophy.
  4. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to working with students and colleagues.
