Biology Instructor
Northland Community and Technical College seeks a full-time Biology Instructor for the Thief River Falls campus dedicated to excellence in teaching, who desires to become part of a creative, vibrant, student-centered learning community.
Salary Range: $43,067 - $94,542
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree with a major in biology or a Master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credits (27 graduate quarter credits) in biology.
Preferred Qualification
Experience working within higher education guidelines and policies
Minimum of two years of teaching experience
Formal coursework in teaching pedagogies, including principles and methods of student evaluation
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations
Knowledge of instructional methods, student assessment, and evaluation practices
Experience with curriculum development, assessment, and the effective integration of instructional technologies
Familiarity with online learning platforms and digital tools to support student engagement and success
Academic background in Biology, Biochemistry, or Biomathematics
Dual major in Biology and Mathematics or Chemistry, or a major in Biology with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Mathematics or Chemistry
Ability to integrate interdisciplinary approaches into instruction, especially in STEM-related fields
