Building Services Assistant Supervisor
Job Description
Montgomery College, all Campuses, have immediate needs for FT Assistant Building Services Supervisors in the Office of Facilities. The campuses are Germantown and Rockville. Please complete the screening questions to indicate your preferred campus and shift. These are Non-Bargaining, Exempt, grade 21 positions. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Perform standard custodial functions and routine maintenance on related equipment.
- Perform various supervisory functions for assigned staff such as assigning specific duties to staff, establishing priorities/deadlines and monitoring and evaluating work performance.
- Conduct performance evaluations and recommend commendation, formal and informal coaching, and disciplinary action.
- Provide guidance and training to assigned staff engaged in performing building custodial work.
- Distribute work assignments, review, and inspect the work of building service workers.
- Coordinate/conduct formal in-service and individual training.
- Respond to service requests.
- Monitor assigned areas to maintain cleanliness. Monitor supply closets and ensure they are adequately stocked.
- Assist with special events such as the Annual Commencement.
- May be responsible for inventory control to include assist with establishment and analysis of inventory plan; organize and maintain all building service warehouses and supplies; and, complete, review and submit related reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two years of building custodial experience.
- Two years of experience in a lead or supervisory role.
- Valid driver's license and evidence of good driving record.
- The equivalent combination of education, training, certification and/or experience that provides the required knowledge and expertise to perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.
Hiring Range: $47,606 - $61,865 annually. Initial salary placement for new hires falls between the minimum and midpoint of the range and is based on relevant candidate experience and internal equity. The maximum salary for this position is $76,124 annually.
