Business Intelligence Developer - Financial Analyst

Job Summary

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking applications for a Financial Analyst and Business Intelligence (BI) Developer (Finance and Accounting Principal Professional). This full-time, University Staff (non-classified) position will be responsible for providing financial activities and system analytics for the Department of Emergency Medicine.

Key Responsibilities

Data Integration & Reporting - 40%

• Leverages institutional databases and departmental systems to compile and analyze financial data for accurate calculation.
• Collect, consolidate, and validate financial data from diverse systems and sources.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive financial reports that support operational and strategic objectives.

Visualization & Analysis - 40%

• Build interactive dashboards and visualizations using Power BI and Smartsheet to present complex financial data in a clear, actionable format.
• Identify trends, variances, and key performance indicators to inform decision-making.

Process Improvement - 10%

• Recommend and implement enhancements to reporting processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.

Collaboration - 10%

• Work closely with finance, operations, and leadership teams to ensure alignment and clarity in financial reporting.

Work Location: Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.
