Job Summary:
The Project Manager manages data organization, tasks, project work streams and strategic initiatives for the Executive Vice Dean for Research Affairs, Clinical Affairs and Quality (EVD) of the School of Medicine (SOM). Working under the direction and guidance of the EVD and the Assistant Dean of Finance, The Project Manager has responsibility for implementing, monitoring, and reporting on strategic initiatives in clinical affairs, quality and research operations. Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Finance and Administration, the Project Manager will develop, refine and execute plans that align institutional priorities and performance metrics in the three main domains. The Project Manager is expected to produce deliverables including reports, strategy briefs and presentations to senior members of the organization in the Dean's Office and the Department of Medicine (DOM). They will be expected to coordinate and lead cross-disciplinary teams and/or committees and in this capacity, develop and define timelines and recommend allocation of resources appropriately.
Key Responsibilities-100%:
- Oversee the governance, execution, and sustainability of high impact project, ensuring alignment with institutional requirements, and long-term value creation.
- Manage strategic initiatives in Clinical Affairs, Quality, and Research Operations for the EVD.
- Produce deliverables including reports, strategy briefs, and presentations to the Executive Vice Dean and other leaders within the institution.
- Lead cross-disciplinary teams and/or committees for strategic projects from conception through completion, overseeing timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Convene and organize stakeholder meetings to help define vision, scope, methods and plans for delivery of key clinical and quality programs;
- Lead strategic communications and executive engagement efforts for EVD initiatives.
- Develop, refine, and execute strategic plans ensuring initiatives align with institutional priorities and performance metrics.
- Identify and assess opportunities for building efficiencies across the enterprise.
- Engage leadership and other stakeholders to introduce and promote strategic initiatives and process improvements.
- Act on the Executive Vice Dean's behalf as appropriate in meetings and stakeholder engagement.
- Provide guidance to staff and project teams involved in initiatives, ensuring clarity of objectives and accountability.
- Anticipate challenges, proactively manage scope changes, and devise contingency plans.
Work Location:
Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3-4 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
- A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
- Five (5) years of relevant professional experience in project management, business administration, or financial administration/management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in accounting/business/health care management, finance, or a closely related field.
- Eight (8) years of responsible administrative, financial, and supervisory experience in a university or healthcare setting.
- Prior Experience in academic medicine in project management and strategy.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Strong financial management skills to include comprehensive understanding of academic medical institution financial structure and operational standards.
- Demonstrated ability to manage funds effectively, from a variety of sources and with the use of a variety of financial management software applications.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and present analytical assessments and reports, and to communicate professionally and effectively.
- Demonstrated excellence in establishing work priorities and providing follow through and meeting established deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully plan, organize, implement, and coordinate financial and administrative activities in a diverse and complicated system.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $68,462-$87,084.
