- Department of Advanced Mechanics, Faculty of Environmental, Life, Natural Science and Technology, Okayama University is inviting applications for a position of Associate Professor. Possible candidates are detailed below.
- A person who has high knowledge and achievements relating to advanced machining technology and nontraditional machining technology, such as laser processing, high-energy beam machining, and metal additive manufacturing.
- A person who has high ability and enthusiasm for education and research in the fields of production engineering, including the fundamental fields of engineering.

- * Education and Research at Graduate School of Environmental, Life, Natural Science and Technology: Each of the successful applicants is expected to deliver lectures on areas of expertise, supervise graduate students in both master’s and doctoral courses in their research, and conduct own research.

- Annual Salary : 6 million yen ~
- Basic annual salary and Performance-based annual salary: Associate Professor 6,758,000-7,980,000yen
- An annual salary system is applied. The amount of annual salary is determined in consideration of the person’s educational background, work experience, etc. according to the Okayama University annual salary Regulations.
- The percentage of annual performance pay depends on the length of service within six months prior to the base date (June 1 and December 1), and the performance rate varies depending on the results of the evaluation.
- As allowances, commuting allowance, support allowance, housing allowance, adjustment allowance, etc. will be paid separately to the applicable employees.

Working hours
- Working hours :08:30-17:30
- Holidays : Saturdays and Sundays, national holidays, and December 29 to January 3 (Article 42, paragraph 2 of the Personnel Work Rules)
- Overtime and other explanations : If the employee agrees to the application of the discretionary work system for specialized work, working hours will be deemed as 7 hours and 45 minutes per day. Overtime work is not required in principle. Day-off work may be required. (Articles 41 and 42 of the Personnel Work Rules)
