The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District is seeking a

CAMPUS AND PARKING SERVICES
SPECIALIST. The Incumbent under the direction of an
assigned supervisor, provide protection to district property; guard
against intrusion, theft and vandalism; make oral and written
reports of any hazardous conditions affecting the security of

AT-A-GLANCE POSITION INFORMATION:
***This recruitment will be used to form a
substitute Campus and Parking Services Specialist
pool.***
Type of position: Full-time Substitute
The work hours for the substitute positions are 3:30 p.m.
to 12:00 a.m.(midnight) OR 10:30 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. and may be
subject to change.
Duration: Possibly as long as three (3) months to six (6)
months.
Salary: Range CL-30
$23.96 - $29.96 Hourly
$4,153 - $5,193 Monthly (based on 40 hours per week)
Initial Salary Placement: New employees start at
Step A ($23.96 per hour) on the salary schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
Graduation from high school or
equivalent, prefer one additional year of college level course work
in related field or certificate of completion in security or law
enforcement training. Six (6) months of security work experience or
parking and transportation services experience may substitute for
one year of college level course work.
EXPERIENCE:
Prefer one (1) year of work experience in a security assistant or
similar assignment.

VETERAN'S POINTS:
- Veterans not previously employed by the District, with 30 days
or more of military service who become eligible for appointment by
attaining the passing mark established for the examination, shall
be allowed an additional credit of five (5) points and disabled
veterans shall be allowed an additional credit of ten (10) points,
which shall be added to the percentages attained in the
examinations by the veterans.
- Any applicant who claims veteran's credit must submit Form DD
214 at the time the employment application is submitted. Failure to
submit Form DD 214 at the time of application shall result in no
veteran's credits being considered or added to any passing
score.
ASSESSMENT PROCESS:
- The assessment process for this position may include any
combination of the following:
- An application screening for initial
qualifications
Supplemental training and experience screening,
documentation(s)/ certification(s) screening
Written assessment (Written assessments contain
proprietary content and are in-person only and cannot be completed
remotely.)
Performance assessment (Performance assessments
are conducted in-person at the same time as the written
assessment.)
Oral assessment (Oral assessments are conducted
over Zoom. If you lack reliable computer or internet connectivity,
accommodations will be provided in the Personnel Commission office
for your participation.)
- The District reserves the right to utilize a flexible pass
point (cut-off) on any test part to meet the staffing needs as
determined by the District.
- If you participate in and fail any assessment segment, you must
wait a period of 90 days (approximately 3 months) to apply/test
again for the same classification during a posted recruitment.
