Position Responsibilities • Embodies values of caring and compassion, justice and integrity, competence and affirmation. • Seeks to treat each member of the campus community with fairness, dignity and respect seeking a spirit of unity and harmony as we join together to achieve our common mission. • Drive a multi-passenger van safely along designated routes or loops. • Greet riders warmly, answer itinerary questions, and provide local recommendations. • Collect passenger’s identification for each rider. • Sweep, vacuum, and wipe down the vehicle interior to maintain an excellent presentation • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip safety checks on tires, fluids, brakes, and lights. • Use radios or mobile dispatch apps to update coordinators on traffic, delays, or emergency issues. • Keep accurate track of arrival and departure times to remain strictly on schedule. • Log mileage, fuel consumption, passenger headcounts, and any road incidents • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required. Any violations impacting the operator’s license will require a self-report to the Department’s Administration within 24 hrs. • Ability to pass a criminal background check and a pre-employment drug screening. • Willingness to work variable shifts, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Status: Hourly, non-exempt, 16 hours per week, 12 months per year. Part-time shift: Weekends & evenings based on departmental needs.
