CANADA EXCELLENCE RESEARCH CHAIRS on the theme of Energy Transitions
The Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR) invites applications for a Canada Excellence Research Chair (CERC) on Energy Transitions and related disciplines. UQTR is a leader in energy-transition technologies, focusing on renewable energy production, storage, bio-based products, smart manufacturing, and energy-efficiency optimization.
The selected candidate will strengthen research at renowned centers, including the Hydrogen Research Institute (HRI), the Institute for Innovations in Eco-Materials, Eco-Products and Eco-Energies from Biomass (I2E3), the Joint Research Unit between the National Institute of Scientific Research and UQTR on Materials and Technologies for the Energy Transition (UMR INRS-UQTR), and the National Integrated Center for Smart Manufacturing (CNIMI).
The candidate must demonstrate leadership in building partnerships and align their research with UQTR’s Strategic Research Plan on Energy Transitions, including areas like renewable energy technologies, energy hubs, energy intelligence, and CO2 capture and valorization.
Requirements: A Ph.D. in a related field, eligibility for Full Professor or tenure. Knowledge of French is an asset.

Salary: As per UQTR professor’s collective agreement, with possible annual bonus up to 20%.
