Cancer Pharmacology and Drug Discovery – Tenure Track
Rutgers Cancer Institute is growing! We invite applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor level, tenure track faculty position with a research focus in cancer pharmacology, including drug discovery and development, the biology of key molecular targets of cancer, and mechanisms of action and resistance of cancer therapies. We are especially interested in individuals with strong background in translation of basic science to patient care or drug discovery applying DNA-encoded library screening, molecular glue, PROTAC and other innovative small molecule drug discovery technologies, or therapeutic antibody engineering and development. Additionally, we welcome candidates engaged in preclinical and/or clinical therapeutics research that originates from, or is directly informed by, the laboratory science of the programs’ current/future effort. Our Cancer Pharmacology Research Program (https://cinj.org/research/cancer-pharmacology-research-program) offers an exciting, collaborative research environment with attractive packages available for qualified candidates. New faculty are expected to establish or support an innovative, independent, and collaborative research program addressing important, fundamental questions in the areas of Cancer Pharmacology and Drug Discovery.

Qualified candidates must have a PhD and/or MD, outstanding academic credentials, and a history or strong potential for grant funding. Rank will be commensurate with experience. The academic appointment will be within the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and located in New Brunswick, NJ. Faculty members are expected to support the educational goals of the school, engaging in teaching activities for medical students, post docs, and residents, as well as delivering targeted lectures in their area of expertise. Candidates with a demonstrated ability to secure peer reviewed funding are preferred.
