Primary Purpose of the Position:
The Case Manager assists students in navigating difficult life events, engages in care management planning, crisis situations, and assists on challenges that may impact their ability to be successful. The Case Manager provides case management support, including interventions, referrals, and follow-up services, for all cases and especially those of increased complexity. The Case Manager for Mental Health at Winston-Salem State University cultivates the holistic growth and development of students through resilience, empowerment, and education. They utilize a student-centered and individualized approach to support students. This position supports and enhances the student experience by offering wrap-around support and resources, providing co-curricular opportunities, and fostering student success. The Case Manager for Mental Health is a driving force for students, families, and community members, and collaborates with campus and community partners to holistically support students. The Case Manager for Mental Health is housed within the Office of the Dean of Students in the completion of their work. The position requires 40 hours of work per week in addition to evenings and/or weekends and serving in an on-call rotation.
