Position Summary
The Allan Hancock College Auxiliary Accounting Services department is accepting applications for temporary Cashier Services Substitute for the Santa Maria campus.
Essential Functions and Qualifications
- Collect, receipt, and post student account transactions, including enrollment payments, fees, and other charges.
- Reconcile daily funds collected to the student account finance system.
- Set up and submit payment plans for approval.
- Monitor and respond to student inquiries via email, phone, and student visits at the service window.
- Serves as a primary point of contact for student refund questions, account holds, and access issues.
- Distribute payroll checks, emergency awards, and paper refund checks
Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate must pass a Department of Justice clearance before the start date.
Additional Information
Desired Start Date:As soon as possible, contingent upon completion of the hiring process
Salary:$26.00 per hour
Department Operating Hours: Monday & Tuesday, 8:00 AM–6:30 PM; Wednesday & Thursday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- This is an on-call position. Work hours are not regularly scheduled and will be assigned on an as-needed basis to provide coverage during employee absences or when additional departmental support is required. Hours will be scheduled within the departments operating hours and may vary based on college and departmental needs. Flexibility and availability to work short-notice assignments are required.
