Duties

We are seeking an exceptional academic and researcher with specialization in Composite/Smart Structures to join our Department. The successful candidate will engage in teaching, research, and leadership within the field of structural engineering, emphasizing composite structures or smart structures, advanced structural analysis, computational mechanics and structural performance under extreme loadings.

Requirements

  • A PhD in Civil/Structural Engineering (or a closely related field);
  • With a strong track record in composite/smart structures research (evidenced by publications, grants, or industry projects);
  • With teaching experience at the university level; and
  • Expertise in FEM software (ABAQUS, ANSYS, SAP2000) and coding (Python/MATLAB).

Professional engineering licensure (HKIE/CEng) or eligibility is a plus.

Candidates for Professor or above should have established a distinctive international reputation in their respective disciplines.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be driven by market competitiveness and individual performance. Excellent fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes, and relocation assistance (where applicable). Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract.
