Chemistry - Visiting Professor (Open Rank)
The Division of Science at NYU Abu Dhabi is searching for accomplished individuals to join the Chemistry program as a Visiting Professor to educate the next generation of global leaders. Multidisciplinary research and exceptional teaching are hallmarks of the University’s mission.
Applicants should have a relevant PhD and demonstrate an outstanding academic track record for their career stage. They are expected to be excellent teachers of undergraduate courses.
The visiting position is typically for one academic year only, and the successful candidate will be responsible for teaching 4 courses, including primarily inorganic chemistry, in addition to chemistry elective courses, and core courses*. These courses will be discussed with the relevant faculty within the Program and depending on the Program’s needs. Candidates who bring both strong teaching experience and a record of impactful research will have a distinct advantage, as such experience enriches the learning environment and strengthens our program. While the core responsibility will be to teach four courses, including primarily Inorganic Chemistry, elective courses, and Core Curriculum courses, there is also an opportunity to introduce innovative courses in emerging and interdisciplinary areas of chemistry. Such contributions are highly encouraged and valued.
Successful candidates will receive some research funding for conference travel and/or minor equipment, and will also have access to internal competitive funds. Additional research support includes access to NYUAD’s Core Technology Platforms and high performance computing facilities with more than 12,000 computing cores and a peak performance of 400 TFLOPS.

This position requires a Ph.D. in Chemistry with a strong background in inorganic chemistry.
