Chief of Staff to the Provost and Executive Vice President

Kansas State University is seeking a Chief of Staff to the Provost and Executive Vice President. This full-time role in the Administrative Vice Presidents category offers an opportunity to support strategic initiatives at a leading land-grant university.

Under the university's Next-Gen K-State strategic plan, the Chief of Staff will work closely with the Provost to drive priorities in student success, research impact, academic innovation, and community engagement. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and managing institutional projects and strategic initiatives (35%), such as coordinating with the University Strategy Officer and overseeing project alignment with university goals.
• Serving as an executive-level advisor to the Provost (25%), providing strategic guidance on policies, procedures, and change management.
• Handling executive-level communications (25%), facilitating collaboration across departments and representing the Provost in discussions.
• Providing administrative oversight (10%) of the Provost's Office operations.
• Engaging in university coordination (5%), building relationships with key stakeholders.

Minimum qualifications include a Master's degree, 7-10+ years of related experience, strong leadership and project management skills, and a passion for public higher education. Preferred qualifications include experience at a land-grant institution and a record of leading transformational change.
