Description:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assists with daily work of the unit (sorting, re-shelving, floor sweep, dehumidifier checks, etc.).
- Assists with ongoing collection inventory.
- Assists with shifting projects and preparation of new range card labels.
- Assists with other units as needed for special projects or high-priority tasks.
- Occasionally provides coverage at service points (Circulation, Periodicals).
- May perform other assigned duties not specifically identified above but which require the same degree of skills normally included within the above job title.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
- Familiarity with library operations and procedures
- Ability to stand/walk for an extended period of time, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to push loaded book carts and shift shelves of books.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Worldshare Management Services (WMS) Library operating system
