Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor of Physical Therapy
The core faculty member in the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program contributes to the program’s mission of preparing compassionate, evidence-based clinicians to serve diverse and rural communities. The DPT program is grounded in community engagement, rural health and teaching and learning practices supporting competency-based education. The faculty member will engage in teaching, service to include clinical practice, and scholarship activities consistent with program expectations. The core faculty member will:
- Teach in areas aligned with clinical and scholarly expertise within the DPT curriculum.
- Contribute to the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of a competency-based, integrated curriculum.
- Provide clinical instruction and mentorship to students through participation in the DPT program’s pro bono physical therapy practice, consistent with their area of clinical expertise.
- Engage in scholarly activities that support evidence-based practice, teaching innovation, or community engagement.
- Participate in program, school, university, and professional service activities, including committee work, program assessment, and accreditation processes.
- Contribute to a collaborative faculty culture that emphasizes student success, inclusivity, and community partnership.
