Position, Department: Clinical Assistant Professor - RC, Academic Affairs

Type of Position: Part-time Temporary, Non-Exempt

Work Schedule, Hours per week: Monday-Thursday, 10 hours per week

Pay Range: $48.49 per hour

Benefits Category: Partial benefits

Position Summary:

Respiratory Care lab and simulation instruction on basic respiratory care knowledge and skills, neonatal/pediatric respiratory care, airway management, mechanical ventilation, and critical care patient management.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• NBRC credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Licensed as a Kansas Respiratory Care Practitioner by the KSBHA
• Current BLS certification as a Health Care Provider
• AARC member
• Four years of adult critical care experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• ACLS certification.
• BSRT
• NBRC Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS) and/or Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (NPS) credentials
• NICU experience.
• Prior clinical instruction/preceptor experience
• Prior high-fidelity simulation experience
