What you will be doing in this role:

As a Level I (non-RCP) Respiratory Therapy Technician you will performance non-patient care or very limited patient care duties such as: processing equipment inclusive of disassembly, cleaning, disinfection, pasteurization, drying, reassembly, and packaging. The Respiratory Therapy Technician does not perform patient assessments or respiratory therapy interventions, nor are they responsible for the functional integrity of assembled patient care equipment.

****Qualifications****

Requirements:

Education:

High school diploma or GED required.
BLS form AHA or ARC

Experience:

Patient care experience in an acute/extended medical care setting preferred.
Experience in cleaning and assembly of respiratory therapy equipment preferred.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift and carry 25 lbs.
Must be able to move an H-size gas cylinder-and-cart as well as the Departmental life support systems, and patients on gurneys over the Hospital floor surfaces.
Possesses auditory and visual capabilities for responding to equipment systems.
Possess mathematics skills necessary to the clinical functions of the job.
Oral and written communications skills must be sufficient for understanding and being understood by members of the Health Care Team.
