Clinical Care Coordinator & Health Care Support Specialist
Position Information
The Clinical Care Coordinator and Transgender Care Specialist position is a new position responsible for coordinating mental health/health care services at the UCR Student Health Services (SHS) and Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) Center, and additionally to support transgender, nonbinary, and gender diverse undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. The position provides direct service to students in coordinating access to gender affirming care; including providing mental health support, stabilization and screenings, facilitation of student referrals/bridge support to campus and community resources; consultation and support of clinician/physician activities, providing outreach and prevention, and collaborating with other student services on-campus. In addition, this position will serve as an advocate supporting non-clinical needs of students who seek support on campus through UCR's LGBT Resource Center (LGBTRC) with dedicated hours in the LGBTRC. This position works in three locations throughout the week, including Student Health Services, Counseling and Psychological Services, and holds office hours for non-clinical support within the LGBTRC.
This role will work outside of traditional work hours (M-F 10 am - 7 pm).

The full salary range for the Clinical Care Coordinator and Transgender Care Specialist is $78,700.00 - $145,100.00 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $100,000 annually. We base salary offers on various considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Masters in Psychology or other related Behavioral Health Discipline. Required
Experience Requirements
- 6 - 10 years of related experience. Required
- Demonstrated commitment and experience in providing trauma-informed and diversity, equity and inclusive informed and valued care Required
- Experience providing mental health crisis assessments. Required
- Demonstrated experience and expertise supporting Transgender identified individuals Required
- Experience working in a university counseling service with strong student service orientation. Preferred
- Experience providing services within a healthcare setting Preferred
License Requirements
- Current, valid license as a behavioral health professional in California (LCSW/ LMFT) or ability to gain licensure in California prior to beginning work. Note: maintenance of licensure in good standing is a requirement of continued employment Required
Certification Requirements
- Certification in Gender Affirming Clinical Practice Preferred
Minimum Requirements
- Advanced verbal and written communication with the ability to influence and persuade
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of clinical counseling principles, methods, procedures, and standards. Advanced knowledge of a specific counseling domain.
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative manner with diverse client group.
- Demonstrated experience and expertise assessing for mental health risk/ suicidality.
- Advanced problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Embodies a deep understanding and personal value that an institutional and personal commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, as well as fairness and accessibility, is a true commitment to meaningful, lifelong learning
- Advanced knowledge of legal and ethical issues, related to practice and patients' rights.
- Advanced ability to develop and present educational programs and/or workshops.
- Knowledge of business software and specialized applications/systems used in behavioral health settings.
- Advanced ability to evaluate the progress of therapeutic approach and modify as necessary
- Knowledge of ethical, legal and university standards and regulations.
