FLSA Status: Exempt
Salary Schedule: Placement on the adjunct faculty salary schedule is based upon education and credited experience. Initial placement can range from $83.09 to $103.42 per hour (Salary Schedule AJ - Laboratory Rate).
Months Per Year: Semester assignments as needed

Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides accurate health information on a broad range of health issues.
- Provides on-site clinical services within the scope of practice of a registered nurse.
- Provides health assessment, triage, treatment, and appropriate referral as needed.
- Maintains reports and record keeping; distributes health information, and makes class and group presentations.
- Works closely with the Health Services Coordinator to facilitate the coordination of all programs and services.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Student health services, emergency care, public health services, or health education setting, including recent successful experience
- A variety of innovative health education strategies, techniques, and practices
- Budget management and reporting
- Goal-oriented team and collaboration skills
- And experience with underserved and underrepresented students
- Federal, state, and local regulations, policies, and procedures, and skill in working under them
Skills and Abilities:
- Understanding of and commitment to the role and purpose of the community college
- Good oral and written communication
- Implement short and long-range operational plans and procedures
- Proficient in using various computer software and database programs related to student and other educational services
- Work independently as a self-starter
Job Requirements:
- A master's degree or above in nursing and a California Public Health Nurse certificate OR bachelor's degree in nursing, a California Public Health Nurse certificate, and a master's degree or above in health education, sociology, psychology, counseling, health care administration, public health, or community health OR the equivalent (see below)
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school
- Possession of an active California Registered Nurse License
- Current CPR certification
- Demonstrated cultural competence, sensitivity to, and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, ethnic, neurodivergent, and LGBTQIA+ backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff as these factors relate to the need for equity-minded practice both within and outside of the classroom.
Preferred
- Ability to communicate in Spanish
