Clinical Fellow

Are you passionate about advancing paramedic education and clinical practice? The University of Cumbria is seeking a dynamic and committed Clinical Fellow in Enhanced Clinical Practice to join our team and contribute to the development and delivery of our Enhanced Clinical Practitioner apprenticeship programme. The post holder will work on a full time basis and the role is fixed term, commencing on 1st December 2025 and ending on the 31st March 2026. We also welcome a secondment to the role.

As a Clinical Fellow, you will play a pivotal role in implementing innovative educational strategies within the Enhanced Clinical Practitioner programme. You will collaborate with external stakeholders in the ambulance sector, support clinical supervisors, and contribute to high-quality academic provision. A key part of this role is the development of the Clinical Educator Hub which is intended to support partner organisations as they mentor apprentices throughout the programme. Additional role requirements may include assisting in the development of curriculum.

We are looking for someone with:

  • A higher degree (minimum Master’s level or working towards) in a related area.
  • Active professional registration with NMC, HCPC, SWE, or BABCP.
  • Clinical experience and knowledge of specialist and/or advanced scope of practice within health care settings.
  • Experience in curriculum and learning development and workforce leadership.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • A commitment to inclusive education and the values of the University.
  • Experience in flexible and distributed learning, are desirable.

While this advert lists Lancaster as the base location; there is flexibility around the location of this role.
