"CLINICAL INSTRUCTOR-CLINICAL PROFESSOR"

The Department of Pediatrics and Division of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology-BMT (PHO-PBMT) at Michigan Medicine and C.S. Mott Children's Hospital are recruiting a full-time academic Pediatric Oncology faculty member at the rank of Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor contingent upon qualifications. In this position, the candidate is expected to provide exceptional clinical care to pediatric and young adult patients with solid tumors and hematological malignancies. Candidates with a proven track record of clinical research activities are highly desirable. They will focus on developing and expanding their clinical research portfolio, including investigator-initiated clinical/translational trials and other activities for the tumor/patient population of interest. The candidate will participate in ongoing divisional research studies, educational activities for trainees and medical students, and receive mentorship and resources for research efforts, including protected time.

The Pediatric Oncology, BMT and Neuro-Oncology Program at Michigan Medicine is a quaternary referral center, seeing 140-150 new cancer diagnoses annually and 60-80 second opinions. It includes programs like M-STOP (https://www.mottchildren.org/conditions-treatments/ped-cancer/solid-tumor-oncology-program), the Chad Carr Pediatric Brain Tumor Center (https://medicine.umich.edu/dept/pediatric-brain-tumor-center), and others. The division has focused research in areas like high-grade gliomas, sarcoma, and precision oncology.

Candidates must possess an M.D. or D.O. degree, have completed a fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, be board certified/eligible in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, and be eligible for licensure in Michigan. Proven excellence in clinical care and teaching is required.
