Open Rank Faculty Position without Tenure (WOT), Department of Radiation Oncology

Position Description

The University of Washington (UW) is recruiting four (4) full-time faculty members in Radiation Oncology at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level without tenure by reason of funding. This will be a primarily clinical position with protected time for scholarly activity. The disease site specialization will be determined based upon the needs of the department, the interests of the candidate and as approved by the Chair. The Department of Radiation Oncology has an established mentorship program that supports junior faculty and others in professional development. All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service. The successful candidate will be expected to advance the department's mission of clinical care, research, education, and equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI). Women and minorities are especially encouraged to apply.

The selected candidates will be proposed for appointment to the full-time faculty at the University of Washington as an Assistant, Associate, or full Professor without tenure by reason of funding on the regular track (either Clinician-Teacher or Clinician-Scientist), with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2026. Academic appointments at the University of Washington will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and academic rank. Assistant Professors are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Associate or Full Professors hold indefinite appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off.
