Job Description:

Binghamton University's Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences, Division of Speech and Language Pathology, located at the health sciences campus in Johnson City, New York, is hiring for its Speech and Language Pathology program and invites applicants for Clinical Instructor in the developing Division of Speech-Language Pathology and currently has five twelve-month position openings. Binghamton University offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The successful candidates will be creative and collaborative individuals who are responsible for providing therapy with community partners and supervising students in clinical settings, and engaging in scholarship or research. Each of these positions will provide services in one of the following: a preschool setting, a school setting, a nonprofit, or a senior care center (skilled nursing and long-term care). There may be opportunities to teach graduate and undergraduate courses.

Requirements:

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) or Communicative Sciences and Disorders.
  • License to practice Speech-Language Pathology in New York by November 1, 2025
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in SLP
  • Interest in developing clinical training programs

Preferred:

  • 4 or more years of experience in the current setting or area of specialization
  • Clinical supervision experience
  • Experience with teaching and/or presenting professionally (in-service, research or other)
  • Experience providing therapy to pre-school children, working in the school setting, or a medical setting
