"Clinical Lab Scientist Specialist- Blood Bank Orange- FT Evening Shift"

Performs non-repetitive, technically complex procedures or tests in a specialized area of the lab in order to provide data for use in the detection, diagnosis and treatment of disease. Takes a leading role in development, quality control, and quality assurance and performance improvement activities. Participates in teaching and serves as a technical resource for the division.

Required Qualifications: Two or more years applicable experience; Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties; Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job; Must be willing to work variable shifts and overtime as required; Must be willing to testify in court regarding testing activities if subpoenaed; Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms; Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Current CA CLS License; Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
