Your Role on the Team
Position Summary: The Center for Perioperative Care, CPC Nurse, will review all patient questionnaires, interfacing with the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Care to determine appropriate testing prior to surgery. The Nurse will utilize knowledge of patient assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation. Acts as a liaison and knowledgeable coordinator to staff in Perioperative Services as well as in ambulatory care clinics and associated departments. Assists with special projects and Quality Improvement initiatives as assigned. What It Takes to be Successful
Required Qualifications:
- Must have recent two years peri-anesthesia experience
- Minimum of six months demonstrated nursing experience in the Perioperative Setting
- At least one year recent experience in data analysis/interpretation for Anesthesia Optimization
- All external candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to maintain flexibility and work well in a constantly changing environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of applicable regulatory requirements
- Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families
Licenses and Certifications:
- Registered Nurse
- Basic Life Support
Education:
- Bachelor of Science, Nursing
