Job Summary:
Red Rocks Community College is seeking part-time clinical Nursing Instructors for the following areas to join our dynamic academic team:
Medical Surgical Nursing (MS Nursing), Maternal and Child (OB), and Psych Mental Health.
In this role, instructors will be responsible for teaching in the clinical setting for Nursing, in alignment with the philosophy, policies, and procedures of the Colorado Community College System.
An ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:
Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students, faculty, and external partners.
Commitment to Professional Growth: Demonstrates a growth mindset and a commitment to continuous learning and development.
Collaboration & Inclusivity: Proven experience working with diverse student populations and fostering equitable outcomes in both classroom and clinical settings.
Part-time Instructors provide instructional duties for the College in their respective areas of expertise. They report to the department chair within the discipline and do not have any supervisory responsibilities. Responsibilities include instruction, student assessment, and other related instructional duties. Instructional delivery for this discipline is in a clinical setting. May be held days, evenings, and weekends.
This position reports to the department chair within the discipline and does not supervise other employees. Occasional meetings or trainings may also be scheduled outside of regular work hours. The finalist must be willing to make Colorado their primary workplace, including online classes.
The role may work up to 28 hours per week for a duration of up to 9 months, depending on departmental need and budget. The finalist must designate Colorado as their primary work location.
