Clinical Research Fellow in Experimental Cancer Therapeutics

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Clinical Research Fellow in Experimental Cancer Therapeutics to join the Early Phase Clinical Trials Facility at the University of Oxford. The Early Phase Clinical Trials Facility at the University of Oxford is a specialist, dedicated clinical trials facility, supporting early phase research integrating oncology and haematology as a seamless service. Recruiting over 150 patients per year, our key remit is the testing of novel therapies, on a bespoke 15 bedded ward incorporating a sample handling laboratory. Under the direction of our Principal Investigators, who are world-leading clinicians and clinician scientists, a team of research nurses and clinical fellows work across the broad portfolio of studies, providing expertise in patient management and protocol compliance.

The postholder will be working alongside staff within the NHS Oxford University Hospitals Foundation Trust (OUHFT) and also the University of Oxford to execute and coordinate early phase oncology clinical trials. To support the trials programme the postholder will have regular programmed clinical activity and an honorary contract with the OUHFT. This post would be suitable for an enthusiastic, dynamic oncologist in training with an interest in early drug development.

Fellows appointed to the post may discuss the opportunity to undertake the Msc in Precision Cancer Medicine at the University of Oxford with their supervisor.
