Clinical Research Nurse B/C

The University of Pennsylvania is seeking a Clinical Research Nurse B/C to implement clinical research activities within the Cardiovascular Division of PPMC. This role involves participating in clinical studies in interventional and vascular cardiology, coordinating investigational protocols under the supervision of the Administrative Director and Principal Investigator.

Job Responsibilities for Clinical Research Nurse B:

• Assist in research studies using approved protocols according to GCP, familiarize with study components, attend Investigators Meetings, and maintain research data and regulatory files.
• Timely initiation of screening and enrolling patients, determine eligibility, recruit patients, explain protocols and consent forms, and complete screening/enrollment logs.
• Schedule and conduct follow-up visits, ensure all activities are within designated time frames, and schedule additional protocol-required tests.
• Create and maintain regulatory binders, process documentation with sponsors and CROs, and obtain necessary signatures.
• Perform phlebotomy, process and ship specimens according to regulations.
• Complete source documents and CRFs within specified time frames, maintain subject binders, and resolve data queries.
• Monitor protocol adherence, report deviations and adverse events, and ensure secure management of study materials.
• Resolve regulatory queries, review bills for accuracy, prepare source worksheets, and maintain study spreadsheets.
• Provide in-service training, education, and support to staff and subjects.

Qualifications for Clinical Research Nurse B:

Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years of experience, along with Registered Nurse licensure in Pennsylvania without restriction. BSN preferred.

Job Responsibilities for Clinical Research Nurse C:

• All responsibilities as listed for Clinical Research Nurse B.
• Additionally, train new research coordinators, support and train research staff, and review new trials to identify and solve challenges.

Qualifications for Clinical Research Nurse C:

Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of experience, along with Registered Nurse licensure in Pennsylvania without restriction. BSN preferred.

This position is contingent upon favorable funding. The job is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, within the Perelman School of Medicine. Pay range: $52,500.00 - $91,232.00 annually.
