Clinical Research Nurse
The role | Te mahi
The purpose of this role is to coordinate the clinical, administrative and data requirements for designated research studies and clinical trials undertaken by the Department of Surgery & Critical Care and the Christchurch Campus.
It will provide research nursing support involving patient recruitment, interviewing, data collection and follow up. Support to ethics applications, consenting and taking blood samples may also be required depending on the study.

We are looking for a registered nurse, who is currently holding and can maintain a current NCNZ annual practising certificate with ability to work autonomously and in a team. You will have good time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and use initiative. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with accuracy and attention to detail with data handling and input
We are also seeking candidates who have:
- Ability to interpret clinical data pertaining to surgery.
- Previous clinical research experience would be an advantage.
- Computer skills, with the ability to use spreadsheets, databases, Microsoft word, clinical application systems and internet services.
- Ability to flex working conditions and resources to fit in with other team members, handling of new projects or changes in current projects.

This is a part time (0.5 FTE), fixed term (2 years) position, located in Ōtautahi, Christchurch.
The appointment range for this position is $93,465 - $98,821 per annum pro-rata. Level of appointment will be based on skills and experience.
