Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
The Health Centre is seeking an experienced Registered Practice Nurse to join our dedicated clinical team. Our team of highly skilled, motivated professionals take care of the students and staff on the vibrant Ilam campus in an excellent, modern facility. The practice is RNZCGP Foundation Accredited, and the medical service is integrated with youth health and counselling. Our Centre is committed to providing quality innovative and holistic health care.
Mōu | Who You Are
To be successful, you will have a minimum of 3 years' experience as well as the following;
- current Annual Practicing Certificate from the Nursing Council of New Zealand
- evidence of current professional indemnity
- experience in the full range of General Practice services
- interest and experience in mental health and sexual health would be an advantage
- adult and youth health assessment and triage including experience in telephone triaging and assessment of acute needs
- authorised vaccinator
- excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
- confidence with a wide variety of cultures and personalities
- proven experience using practice management software.

You will work with our dedicated team of nurses, general practitioners and support staff who contribute to the delivery of effective quality primary care to UC's students and staff in a challenging and rewarding environment. You will also work closely with student counselling and other student support teams.
