About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Clinical Trials Assistant (CTA) to join our Surgical Intervention Trials Unit (SITU) in the Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences, based at the Botnar Research Centre on the Nuffield Orthopaedic Hospital site in Headington, Oxford. This role is predominantly office-based, but there may be the opportunity for occasional remote working.
You will work closely with various clinical trial teams to successfully deliver world-leading research studies to the highest standards by carrying out administrative and trial management tasks. You will also report to an assigned Clinical Trial Manager on a day-to-day basis.
This full-time role is available immediately and is fixed-term for a period of 12 months in the first instance. Part-time applications (minimum of 80% FTE) would be considered, please specify your preference in your application.
About you
The successful candidate will be educated to A-Level or equivalent in a Biomedical or associated numerical subject, or have equivalent experience. You must have a proven ability to follow established procedure(s) or processes and maintain accurate administrative records. You must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proficiency in spoken/written English and be a good team player. High standards of accuracy and attention to detail are essential. You will possess office management and clerical skills that include excellent word processing, document layout and data entry, using MS Office.
Experience of handling medical, patient data or other personal data, preferably in an NHS, clinical or pharmaceutical company environment is desirable.
