Co-Director

Kleijnen Systematic Reviews Ltd is seeking an experienced healthcare researcher with experience in evidence-based medicine for a leadership opportunity.

In this role, you will be part of the leadership team, defining the strategic direction of KSR, providing oversight on scientific project leadership, and ensuring successful project delivery.

The Role & Responsibilities

• Leadership: Work with the Managing Director as Statutory Board members, presenting and advising the EOT Board of Trustees on financial and strategic performance.
• Management of Resources: Manage and monitor financial and staff resources, ensuring projects meet timelines and budgets.
• Efficiency: Develop and execute KSR’s strategy with the Statutory Board and EOT Board of Trustees.
• Financial Planning: Formulate and plan income and expenditure to achieve growth and budgetary targets.
• Business Development: Generate research income from various sources.
• Development of People: Coach, mentor, and train in evidence syntheses.
• Recruitment: Contribute to recruiting colleagues for a balanced expertise portfolio.
• Decision-making: Make informed decisions on behalf of the company alongside the Managing Director.
• Scientific responsibilities: Lead evidence syntheses, supervise dossiers for HTAs, manage project teams, and contribute to business growth.

• Experience in governance, financial, and performance management.
• Knowledge of business finance aspects.
• Achievements in senior leadership roles.
• Experience in leading and managing multiple projects.
• Adherence to business strategy and confidentiality.
• Significant experience in systematic reviews and HTAs.
• Experience in mentoring and health services research.
