College Visiting Fellowships

The College is delighted to invite submissions for Visiting Fellowships for one term during the academic year 2026-2027.

Visiting Fellows are elected for one term. Applicants should provide:

• (i) Statement of research: a brief description by the applicant (not more than one page of A4) of the work that will be undertaken during the period of the Visiting Fellowship.
• (ii) A CV.
• (iii) Two letters of references: referees should write their references for applications on headed paper and address their reference to the President of Magdalene College. At least one referee must be either a Fellow of Magdalene College or an academic working at the University of Cambridge.

This is a non-stipendiary post although meals for Visiting Fellows are covered by the College and subject to the same arrangements as apply to other Fellows. Accommodation is not routinely provided.

Applications should be made via the CASC Fellowship Application System; the link to the system can be found on the College webpage via the 'Apply' button above.

The deadline for all applications for a fellowship during the academic year 2026-27 is 12:00pm on 30th January 2026. The deadline for references is one day later, 12:00pm on 31st January 2026.

 It is helpful, though not required, if applicants can indicate their term of preference in their application.

Lent Full Term - Tue 19 Jan – Fri 19 Mar

Easter Full Term - Tue 27 Apr – Fri 18 Jun
