Communications Strategist I, IMCI

The position ensures effective internal and external communication, branding and messaging by leading and collaborating on communication efforts within the unit and across campus. This position advances the reputation of the University of Idaho and assigned unit(s) through purposeful and creative messaging that is tied to strategic initiatives and builds campus wide and public understanding and support for the teaching and research mission of the unit(s) specifically, as well as the University of Idaho in general. The position will work in a collaborative environment with team members and University Communications and Marketing to create impactful communications.

Duties may include:

• Write and edit a variety of content in digital and print formats
• Maintain the project or effort website, social media presence and online communications; collaborate on data collection for a variety of reports
• May assist with day-to-day office operations
• Provide consultation and writing support to department leadership
• Other duties as assigned
