Job Description
The Bengal Success Center Marketing and Communications Specialist furthers the mission and vision of TRIO and other Bengal Success Center programs by developing and implementing marketing plans and strategies based on program needs, institutional requirements, and recognized best practices. This position requires advanced design skills, excellent communication skills, and a high level of attention to detail.
This position is not eligible for new visa sponsorship at this time. Candidates who already hold valid U.S. work authorization may be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Meets regularly with staff in every TRIO and other Bengal Success Center programs to determine marketing and communication needs
- Keeps abreast of marketing trends and identifies potential growth areas for TRIO and other Bengal Success Center programs
- Communicates with ISU's Marketing and Communications team to ensure that all TRIO and other Bengal Success Center programs marketing plans and materials adhere to institutional expectations
- Creates high-quality marketing materials, including flyers and brochures, to promote TRIO and other Bengal Success Center programs and events
- Designs specialized items to enhance student engagement
- Develops and implements social media plans for each TRIO and other Bengal Success Center programs
- Leads TRIO and Bengal Success Center's fundraising efforts, including outreach and partnerships that support fundraising
- Attends TRIO and Bengal Success Center events to take photos and support marketing strategies
- Ensures that images and materials from TRIO and Bengal Success Center programs are organized and archived
- Performs other tasks as assigned to ensure that TRIO and Bengal Success Center's marketing and communications needs are met
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- At least two (2) years professional experience with graphic design
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing and/or communications and/or design
- Experience with social media management
- Experience with TRIO programs
Additional Information

Salary will be between $49,750 and $51,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience.
