Community Outreach Manager II - FCHS Engagement (Part-time) (Hybrid) (Casa Grande, AZ)
Position Highlights
The Pinal County Office is seeking to fill FCHS Engagement Manager position to manage and increase the impact of the Family, Consumer, Health Science (FCHS) program in Pinal County and the state. The successful candidate will provide expertise and knowledge, and be integral in enhancing outreach and fostering meaningful connections between the Cooperative Extension and FCHS stakeholders and communities at state, national, and local levels. This position will be pivotal in the continuation of building and maintaining relationships with county and state stakeholders that have collaborated with UA Cooperative Extension FCHS programming and help identify new collaborators and funding opportunities for University of Arizona's FCHS programs.
This position is located in Casa Grande, AZ in Pinal County.
This position will last for approximately 9 months after the start date with a possible extension pending additional funding.

Duties & Responsibilities
County Engagement:
- Work to continue the local county FCHS programming efforts.
- Work closely with the Pinal County Extension team in providing new and innovative programming in the areas of FCHS programming.
- Work to develop new partnerships within Pinal County to help support FCHS county programming.
Program Management:
- Manage the FCHS programmatic focus and work with statewide FCHS faculty and staff to develop an new programmatic approach given the losses of federal program support.
- Work on a road map and retooling of FCHS staff and faculty who were previously supported by federal funds to address the needs of stakeholders in the state.
Grant development:
- Look for alternative grant opportunities for FCHS programming, including but not limited to nutrition, family wellness, financial literacy, and early childhood development, due to the current losses in federal program support.
- Work with FCHS Faculty to successfully apply for these grants.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of FCHS programming and Cooperative Extension
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and partners.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required. Minimum of 5 years of related work experience, including 2 years of managerial experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Must possess a valid driver's license upon employment, provide own transportation, be able to travel statewide and the ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience. Ten or more years as a Principal Investigator managing grants. Eight years experience working with at risk communities. Advanced knowledge nutrition and wellness. Experience leading a team of 10 or more professionals. Experience working with USDA agencies at both the State and Federal levels. Experience working with rural Arizona communities. Experience in organizing and facilitating meetings and events. Strong network of Extension educators across the west. Strong grant writing and management experience.
