Compensation Representative

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Strong organizational, data entry, and recordkeeping skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and ensure accuracy of data.
  • Ability to provide customer service and respond to routine inquiries.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience supporting compensation, classification, or human resources functions is preferred.
  • Experience working with HRIS systems is preferred.
  • Experience in higher education or public-sector environment is preferred.

Job Description:

Responsible for providing operational support for compensation and classification activities, including maintaining job descriptions, assisting with job evaluations, supporting salary survey processes, and responding to routine compensation-related inquiries.

Job Duties:

  • Review and update job descriptions to ensure duties and responsibilities are accurately documented.
  • Assist with gathering and organizing information for job classification and compensation reviews.
  • Collect, enter, and maintain data from compensation surveys and internal sources.
  • Maintain records related to job classifications, salary data, and pay structures.
  • Process routine personnel requests such as job postings, rec for hires, and changes in pay.
  • Support job audits and classification reviews by compiling required documentation and information.
  • Respond to routine questions from employees and supervisors regarding job descriptions, pay, and classification processes.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with compensation policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Help maintain and update pay structures.
  • Provide customer service support for compensation-related processes and requests.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

This position will be required to work on premises at the Human Resources office.
