The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Temp Services is seeking a Computer Support Tech position (Help Desk Analyst)
Job Specific Duties
- Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer hardware, software, and network.
- Monitoring help desk phones, e-mails, and other electronic problem reporting mechanisms.
- Makes sure they are responding appropriately in a precise and timely manner.
- Implements and installs new computer solutions and contributes to logistical solutions for unit needs.
- Utilizes Problem Management database to register problems and record most effective solutions.
- Contributes to departmental training with other staff and supervisor.
- Able to effectively resolve customer IT needs, record events/problems as well as their resolution in a ticketing system and perform other duties as assigned.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-5p
Location: Avondale
Hourly Rate: $18.00
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements: Associate's degree in Information Systems or a related field and two years of related experience. Work experience may substitute for education requirements.
