Contractor Part-Time Attorney
Overview
The part-time attorney will report directly to the Vice President and General Counsel and will assist the General Counsel in a wide range of matters. This position is a generalist position. The attorney will perform a variety of legal functions, including reviewing a range of contracts, advising on collective bargaining agreements, analyzing campus-wide risks, conducting legal research on a plethora of issues, assisting in responding to public records requests, assisting in training sessions, and other responsibilities as assigned by the General Counsel. This position is a remote, part-time (19 hours per week), non-benefited position. Although this is a remote position, there may be occasions when in-person presence is required. This position is located in Salem, Massachusetts.
Required Qualifications
Juris Doctor Degree from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in higher education, contract, and employment law, preferred.
Working Location
This is a primarily remote position in Salem, MA with some on-campus, in-person responsibilities.
